Artist + Architect = Designer
I graduated from the High School of Art in Suprasl in 2006 with a diploma in Textile Arts. In 2010, I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Bialystok University of Technology. During my studies, I gained both theoretical and practical knowledge in designing residential buildings, public spaces, and urban layouts—from individual apartments to entire neighbourhoods and city blocks.
In 2016, I completed an Art & Design course at New College Lanarkshire, which helped me further refine my illustration and visual storytelling skills.
From early on, my passion has centred around art, architecture, and design. Through various school and freelance projects, I developed strong artistic and organizational skills, learning to manage commissions independently and communicate effectively with clients. These early experiences laid the groundwork for my creative path.
While finishing my architectural studies, I began working as a freelance graphic designer. I designed logos, business cards, posters, flyers, and interior layouts for both individual clients and businesses. My projects often involved translating architectural principles into branding and visual identity work.
Since then, I’ve expanded my portfolio to include:
-
Art direction and project leadership through my brand Sznurkowski.Art,
-
Large-scale design and framing coordination during my role as Head Framer,
-
Participation in marketing activations (e.g., BAT 121's 2024 campaign with Disrupt Agency),
-
Creating visual content for cultural and community organisations such as the Sikorski Polish Club in Glasgow.
My style combines a structural, architectural eye with a bold, expressive approach rooted in traditional fine art. This duality allows me to work fluidly across commercial design, illustration, and creative direction.
